Fucus vesiculosus is a brown algae which lives on rocks along the sea shores. It grows abundantly on the coasts of Brittany, where it concentrates the active substances of the sea.

The fronds of this seaweed hear vesicles which keep it near to the surface. It can be collected all year. It is harvested by hand, the stipe being cut at 20 cm from the base to allow the regrowth.

We process the seaweed within 24 hours of harvest to preserve the freshness.

Fucus vesiculosus is widely used in fields such as thalassotherapy, cosmetics, health-foods and pharmaceuticals. Registered in the European Pharmacopoeia.
